née Dambo
April 10, 1957 — April 1, 2026
Stella was born in 1957 into the family of Chief and Mrs. Clarina Dambo. As the first among her siblings, she always possessed strength, generosity, care, and natural leadership.
She lived her life as a devoted daughter, a dependable sister, a cherished wife, a loving mother, and a sweet grandmother. To all who knew her, she was welcoming and freely extended her grace, support, and guidance. Filled with wisdom, she presided over matters with a spirit that corrected yet loved deeply. Whether at a lively family gathering or in a quiet moment of conversation, she brought her wholehearted presence to every moment.
Growing up, Stella displayed a remarkable depth of character far beyond her years. The values instilled in her early in life — faith, resilience, compassion, and hard work — became the pillars upon which she built her entire life. Her roots gave her wings, and she soared with grace.
“A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold.”
— Proverbs 22:1
At the very centre of Stella's life was her unwavering faith. She was a woman of deep and sincere devotion who carried her beliefs beyond places of worship and into everyday life. It showed in every conversation, in every act of kindness, and in the quiet prayers she whispered for her children. Her relationship with God was personal, tender, and steadfast.
She prayed for people she barely knew and continually interceded for those she loved. Many family members and friends remember her prayers as a source of great comfort and reassurance — a reminder that they were held in the hands of something greater. Her faith was not a shield from life's hardships, but the quiet strength that carried her through every storm.
Stella was deeply passionate about sharing the message of Jesus and the hope of salvation with others. She longed for everyone she met to know the joy of faith and the promise of eternal life. Her devotion to God was not only personal but expressed through service, as she faithfully served as an Assistant Pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God. Because her heart was so focused on her heavenly goals, she was fondly called Mummy Crown — a name that beautifully reflected the life she lived and the hope she held close.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
— 2 Timothy 4:7
She was hardworking and, by God's grace, excelled in her career as a civil servant, retiring at the very peak in service to her nation. Throughout her life, Stella found purpose not only in her family but also in the wider community around her. She gave her time, her resources, and her expertise with characteristic generosity. Colleagues and peers remember her as someone who led with integrity, served with humility, and never sought recognition for her contributions. She simply did what needed to be done and did it with quiet excellence.
“She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.”
— Proverbs 31:25
Stella Biodomoye Toluwase left this world on the 1st of April, 2026, just nine days before what would have been her 69th birthday. The loss is immeasurable, yet the legacy she leaves behind is just as vast. It is a legacy of love, sacrifice, faith, and grace that will echo through the generations that follow.
Though she has left the earth, she lives on in our hearts, our minds, and in the beautiful memories we cherish. We take comfort in knowing she is in a better place, celebrating and praising God. She was blessed with children and grandchildren who will continue to carry her love and values forward.
“Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord… They will rest from their labour, for their deeds will follow them.”
— Revelation 14:13
